Celebrate International Day of Yoga

We are creating a platform for several organizations and Yoga ambassadors to come together to celebrate the first, historical International Day of Yoga in US and in other cities globally. 177 nations have recently joined hands to pass the resolution for the International Day of Yoga at the United Nations. The celebrations will be promoted nationwide and globally through effective social media strategies being carried out with the help of a tech-savvy, young, dynamic and dedicated team of volunteers. Media organizations, partner organizations and event sponsors are also welcome to join the celebrations and the movement – to remove barriers, make people open up their hearts and minds and bring wellness and happiness to all through Yoga.

"Yoga embodies the unity of mind and body."

"Yoga embodies the unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; the harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the world and the nature."

"Yoga is a sport that can contribute to development and peace."

"Yoga is a sport that can contribute to development and peace. Yoga can even help people in emergency situations to find relief from stress,"

"Yoga is a lifestyle and should not be mistaken for only asanas."

"Yoga is a lifestyle and should not be mistaken for only asanas. A disease-free body, quiver-free breath, stress-free mind, inhibition-free intellect, obsession-free memory, ego that includes all, and soul which is free from sorrow are the signs of a perfect yogi. As Krishna said in the Bhagvad Gita, “Samatvam Yoga Ucyate” – equanimity in the individual is a sign of yoga."

"No prime minister (before Modi) talked about yoga on the global stage."

"No prime minister (before Modi) talked about yoga on the global stage. It was Modi ji who ran the campaign for an International Yoga Day and garnered support of 177 countries. This is the first time that a proposal in the UN received the support of 177 countries with not even a single country opposing it."
